What are the aspects you enjoyed that made it different from 1:1 coaching?
I liked that my whole leadership team was learning the same thing at the same time because if I missed something or had questions after each session we could talk about it as a team and collaborate on our understanding. I also liked having familiar co-workers during the course because I felt more comfortable sharing and getting into the content because I was already comfortable with the people.
What would you say are the value/benefits of team learning/coaching?
I found it valuable for my whole leadership team to learn the same concepts and have a common language around those concepts because it was easier to implement the strategies and talk about how they would fit into our centre with the common learning. It was also great going through it at the same time because we could talk about the content outside of sessions and come to a common understanding. Sometimes my teammates saw the content being used in a way that I never thought about.
What would you tell a colleague that expressed interest in team coaching?
I think that team coaching brings a comon learning to the team that can bring the individuals together and help you grow in a unified direction. This really helped our new team jump start our journey together and we have grown in amazing ways.
